About us
The Immuno-Regulation Laboratory (LIR) directed by Dr. Rafael Correa Rocha and co-directed by Dr. Marjorie Pion, constitutes an emerging group within the Gregorio Marañón Health Research Institute (IISGM).
His research focuses on the study of the immunological mechanisms involved in differents diseases, and on the development of advanced therapies aimed at restoring the correct immune balance.
The group is a pioneer worldwide in the use of Treg cells derived from thymic tissue (thyTreg) as cell therapy in the treatment of organ rejection and other pathologies associated with inflammatory processes.
Publications and conferences
In this section you can find the publications generated from the studies carried out by the researchers of our group.
Participation in congresses, symposia, oral communications and posters is another of the available contents.
A search engine will facilitate the task of accessing the articles that you are interested.
Un buscador facilitara la tarea de acceso a los artículos que estés interesado leer.
Press
The research developed by the LIR group is having a high impact by providing clear benefits to treated patients.
In this section you will find press releases and links to news and media that have echoed our progress.
Patients
Our group has a special commitment to the dissemination of science. With this we intend to make the population aware of the relevance of research, disseminate hopeful advances for patients and their families, and promote scientific vocations among young people.
In this section we will include news and informative documents, both about our work and others of a general nature, related to immunology and biomedical research.
